Cinebench R23 is a cross platform test suite for testing the hardware functions of computers. It can be used to test the 3D modeling, animation, motion graphics and rendering performance of Cinema 4D on multiple CPU cores. This program is "more suitable for high-end desktop and workstation platforms for specific fields". Cinebench is usually used to demonstrate hardware functions at technology fairs to show CPU performance.

In the actual test, AMD ryzen 9 5900HX performed well, scoring 1493 points for single core and 10908 points for multi-core.

Compared with the recently popular Intel Core i5-1240p, the single core performance of AMD ryzen 9 5900HX is about 120 points lower, but the multi-core performance is 1800 points higher. It can be seen that the full large core CPU with the same number of threads has obvious advantages over the CPU with Intel's large and small core design in terms of performance under multi-threaded heavy load tasks, and Intel's large and small core design is relatively better in terms of energy efficiency.

In short, the single core and multi-core performance of AMD ryzen 9 5900HX are in a relatively high position, and as a Mini PC, it does not need to consider battery life and has better heat dissipation compared with notebook computers. SSD

Unscrew the four screws on the back cover of A2-5900HX to remove the back cover to explore its internal structure. First of all, it can be seen that a HDD bit is reserved at the back cover, which can provide a maximum storage space of 4tb for this mini PC.

In terms of hard disk, Intel 660p m.2 SSD with a capacity of 512gb is used. This is a SSD that focuses on stability. Its read-write speed is actually very general.

Memory

In terms of memory, the A2-5900HX Mini PC is equipped with crucial DDR4 3200mhz 16gbx2 notebook memory, and the timing is CL22.

According to actual measurement, the read speed, write speed, copy speed and delay of a2-5900hx memory are 46399mb / s, 43210 MB / s and 41388 MB / s respectively. In addition to the slightly higher delay, the reading and writing speed of the whole memory is moderate, which is good in notebook memory.

A2-5900HX performance test

According to the actual measurement, the total score of Master Lu of A2-5900HX is 838000, including 551000 for the processor, 79000 for the graphics card, 99000 for the memory and 110000 for the hard disk. This fully shows the powerful performance of AMD ryzen 9 5900HX CPU.

PCMark 10

Next, we tested with a more professional pcmark 10.

Thanks to the 8-core 16 thread of AMD ryzen 9 5900HX and its 2100mhz core display frequency, the actual application score of A2-5900HX is very good. Pcmark10 scores 5428 points, including 9847 points for basic tasks (11815 points for software installation, 8708 points for video, and 9282 points for web browsing); Productivity score 6853 points (10441 points for spreadsheet and 4499 points for writing); Digital content creation 6432 points (picture editing 8595 points, rendering and visualization 6641 points, video editing 4664 points). It belongs to the middle and upper reaches of notebook computers and can easily meet the needs of office and entertainment.

Compared with the latest Intel Core i5-1240p, the score of AMD ryzen 9 5900HX is significantly higher, which should be attributed to its full core design and the significantly more powerful amd core graphics card.

Summary

Therefore, it is a good choice to equip this Mini PC with a higher end SSD or simply remove the SSD, memory and wireless network card, and sell them in the form of quasi system. After all, Intel has applied the quasi system sales method to notebook computers at present, and it may become a more popular sales method in the future.
